Pyrite Pendant, Unisex Jewellery, Gift For Him, Made in Scotland
Easy to wear, and with unisex appeal, this wire wrapped gemstone pendant would make a great gift - for him or her. .
Often mistaken for gold, pyrite is commonly referred to as ‘Fools Gold’. In its raw state, the gemstone can be struck to create sparks - and it was used in the Stone Ages as a fire starter. Indeed, the name 'pyrite' comes from the Greek word for fire. Throughout history, it was thought that owning a piece of Pyrite would help you gain wealth and prosperity.
I used haematite coloured copper wire, and added gold plated wire detail to give this stunning piece of pyrite a frame. Finished with a faux suede black cord and gold plated clasp.
Length 22 inches. Pendant size 4cm x 2cm.
Comes to you wrapped in tissue in an organza bag with information about the gemstone and Tips on Caring for Your Gemstone Jewellery.
